Everything we do at Izzo’s Illegal Burrito is focused on one simple goal: Rolling You a Better Burrito®. Our concept was founded on a few basic principles, ones that we still uphold everyday: Serving only the highest quality food with generous portions, offering fast and friendly service and providing a great value in a fun and comfortable atmosphere.
Building upon family recipes and a passion for the industry, Ozzie Fernandez, has combined several years of culinary talent and restaurant business expertise to create this unique fast-casual Mexican eatery. The first Izzo’s Illegal Burrito restaurant officially opened its doors on July 23, 2001, at the south gates of Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, LA.
